Story
2010 ~
I knew Ayu from middle school, when we were just upperclassmen and underclassmen.
September 2014 ~
The beginning of our love story started when I contacted her using Blackberry messenger.
During that time, I was still in vocational school and Ayu was also in vocational school in the same city, coincidentally.
2016 ~ 2021
Sad Part ~ Here we begin our LDR journey for 5 years. I decided to continue my studies in Australia and Ayu continued her studies at a university in Bali.
During 2017 and 2018, I only went home once per year. Sadly, we were affected by the Covid-19 pandemic and I was prohibited from meeting her for three years. Out of all the obstacles, ups and downs, we were able to keep our hearts together.
September 2022 ~
Ayu finally followed me to Australia after finishing her studies.
May 2023 ~
I braved asking my family to visit Ayu’s house and ask for her parents’ blessing to propose to Ayu, and decided to get married in Australia legally (plus visa requirements too, hehehe).
January 2024 ~
We are determined to formalize our relationship at the level of Indonesian marriage and Balinese traditional marriage. Together, we will build our dreams and continue to strive towards our goals.
